Position Overview:. We are seeking an experienced Hydrovac Operator to join our team. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of hydrovac equipment for various excavation and utility maintenance projects. The ideal candidate must be able to lift over 50lbs and hold a Class B CDL with a tanker endorsement.

Key Responsibilities:

⦁ Safe Operation of Hydrovac Equipment: Operate hydrovac equipment in a safe and efficient manner to perform excavation, trenching, and utility location tasks, following all relevant safety guidelines and procedures.
⦁ Excavation and Utility Maintenance: Perform hydro-excavation work for various applications, including trenching, potholing, and exposing underground utilities. Ensure precise and non-destructive excavation techniques to prevent damage to utilities and surrounding structures.
⦁ Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on hydrovac equipment to ensure it operates at peak performance. Address minor issues promptly and report any major repairs needed.
⦁ Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Take proactive measures to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
⦁ Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including excavation locations, quantities of material removed, and equipment maintenance logs.
⦁ Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including laborers and other operators, to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:

⦁ Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement (Required): A valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a tanker endorsement is a mandatory requirement. Candidates must possess or be willing and able to obtain this endorsement.
⦁ Experience: Previous experience operating hydrovac equipment or similar heavy machinery is a plus but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
⦁ Safety Focus: Strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to follow safety guidelines rigorously.
⦁ Physical Fitness: Must be in good physical condition, as the role may involve manual labor and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
⦁ Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is beneficial.
⦁ Communication Skills: Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential for collaborating with team members and project stakeholders.
⦁ Reliability: Punctuality and a strong work ethic are crucial for this role, especially during emergency response situations.
